This page is dedicated to my scholarship.
This year has been an amazing year for me, as I joined and participate in a lot of both competition and events. I will do my best to summarize my whole year into this page!
My first competition (and the most memorable so far) was the INAYS competition. INAYS stands for Indonesian Young Scientists, which the link can be assessed right here http://home.unpar.ac.id/~inays/. For this competition the school need a group of 3, and as th result was me (Brahma Putra), Sebastian Kenny, and Yunita Rebekah Winata Chandra.
After the conditions were met and the groups were realized, now the next step is to pick the topic that we are going to work on. Looking for inspiration is tough, but we finally agree on Catalyst for Sonneratia caseolaris Fermentation as our topic.
Sonneratia caseolaris is basically the fruit of the mangrove tree, and what we want to do is to extract ethanol, out of the fruit. Our source's results were promising, and we manage to start on the project. We went to the mangrove forest, we take a lot of fruits, and bring it back to school. The mangrove fruit was indeed special, or quite awesome to say. The surrounding villagers have convert it into syrup, cakes, vinegars, they're planning to make ethanol. When we interviewed the villager, it was quite amazing despite their lack of facilities and truly inspiring.
Our first experiments are not successful, mainly because we don't have a vacuum, because the fruit were supposed kept in an airless condition, Our second experiment were much better. After that we make an abstract, papers and finally presentation, where we will submit to the INAYS. Our abstract and papers were accepted, and we may go to the next step. In the next step, the presentation step, we lost, and the competition has stopped here.
The other achievement I did was in the Student Council. This year I won the vote as the Vice President of the Student Council, the highest rank a Junior High Student could achieve.
I also join some other competition, such as the ICAS of the Math and Science lesson, and I got the Distinction award for both of them; (Top 4 % as of Math). I also joined the Stella Maris Mathematics competition, which I and Ivan Andrean achieve the 4th place. The Ausmac is one of the competition I joined too. And AMC is the other mathematic competition (American Mathematic Competition) which I participated.
I've improved so much this year, that it's impossible for me to remember all. There was just to many memories, that will attach in my mind, that this year, is just simply unforgettable. As for lessons in the school, my ability improves. As for this year's extracurricular has been mind blowing. We make blogs, posters, 3D posters, interview, reports, tutorials, and even videos! Mentally I'm more mature, as the school had guide me throughout the year. My friends has been so kind and cooperative this year, that there are literally no issues on my report.
I nearly forgot the endings of the 7th Grade, but it's great, and increasingly fun. I got the Most Outstanding Student, the English Proficiency Award, and the Academic Achievement on my class (which total 1/3 are scholarship student).
So this year has been one of the best year I've had in my entire life- yet, and there was so much things that I've achieved, that as I'm getting older, and older, and older...
And time flew by so fast...
And time flew by so fast...
Man will still say;
